Link an external bank account using the HealthEquity mobile app

Step by step instructions on how to add your bank account details using the mobile app.

We offer the option to add and instantly verify your external bank account through the HealthEquity mobile app to make it easier to send and receive money via electronic funds transfer (EFT).  

External account verification 

Simply follow these steps to add a new account.

  1. Tap the More button.

  2. Tap on My Profile.

  3. Tap on External Accounts.

  4. Tap on Add External Account.

  5. Follow the prompts to complete identity verification using Plaid.

  6. Follow the prompts to link and verify your external accounts using Plaid.

    • If you've used Plaid before, you can log in and link accounts you have saved.

  7. Success!

The app will take you back to the ‘Linked External Accounts’ menu and show the account as verified if the process was successful.
